The Microsoft Endpoint Administrator course provides the foundation for the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification. It prepares you for the Microsoft Exam MD-102 and helps demonstrate your real-world mastery of the skills and knowledge required to deploy, manage, and protect modern endpoints at scale in Microsoft 365 environments. Designed for endpoint administrators, this course focuses on the critical thinking and decision-making acumen needed for success at the Microsoft Certified Associate level.

The goal of this course is to provide you with all the tools you need to prepare for the MD-102 Microsoft Endpoint Administrator exam, including text explanations, video demos, lab activities, self-assessment questions, and a practice exam, to increase your chances of passing the exam on your first try.

Lesson 1: Windows Client Deployment and Management

  • Prepare for a Windows client deployment: selecting a deployment tool; migrate vs. rebuild; imaging/provisioning strategy; Windows edition selection; upgrade/downgrade paths; subscription-based activation
  • Plan and implement deployment using Windows Autopilot: device registration; deployment scenarios and requirements; deployment profiles; Enrollment Status Page; troubleshooting Autopilot deployments
  • Plan and implement deployment using MDT: creating/managing images; monitoring and troubleshooting; user state migration
  • Configure remote management: Remote Help in Intune; Remote Desktop; Windows Admin Center; PowerShell remoting and WinRM

Lesson 2: Manage Identity and Compliance

  • Manage identity: identity solutions overview; Windows Hello for Business, passwordless authentication, and tokens; RBAC for Intune; Azure AD device registration/join; Intune Connector for Active Directory; local group membership; LAPS for Azure AD
  • Implement compliance policies across device platforms with Intune: specifying and monitoring compliance policies; troubleshooting; Conditional Access policies requiring compliance status

Lesson 3: Manage, Maintain, and Protect Devices

  • Manage the device life-cycle in Intune: enrollment settings; automatic/bulk enrollment; policy sets; restart/retire/wipe devices
  • Manage device configuration across platforms with Intune: configuration profiles; Windows kiosk mode; Android device profiles; Microsoft Tunnel for Intune
  • Monitor devices: Intune and Azure Monitor; Endpoint analytics and Adoption Score
  • Manage device updates across platforms with Intune: update rings; delivery optimization; update policies; Android updates; troubleshooting updates
  • Implement endpoint protection across platforms: security baselines in Intune; onboarding to Defender for Endpoint; automated response capabilities; Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management dashboard

Lesson 4: Manage Applications

  • Deploy and update apps across device platforms: deploying via Intune; Microsoft 365 Apps deployment via the Office Deployment Tool/Office Customization Tool; policies via Group Policy or Intune; platform-specific app stores; sideloading
  • Plan and implement app protection and app configuration policies: App Protection policies for iOS and Android; Conditional Access policies for app protection; app configuration policies for managed apps/devices
