This instructor-led Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions course prepares you for the Microsoft Exam AZ-700 by introducing you to designing, implementing, and managing hybrid networking, core networking infrastructure, routing, securing, and monitoring networks, and designing and implementing private access to Azure services. This exam focuses on networking topics in Microsoft Azure, but it does require additional knowledge of the Azure Portal and related services such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and monitoring tools.

The goal of this course is to provide you with all the tools you need to prepare for the AZ-700 exam, including text explanations, video demos, lab activities, self-assessment questions, and a practice exam, to increase your chances of passing the exam on your first try.

Duration: Instructor-led: 3 days of training. Self-paced: 32 hours.

Lesson 1: Design, Implement, and Manage Hybrid Networking

  • Design, implement, and manage a site-to-site VPN connection, including gateway SKUs, policy- vs. route-based VPN, and IPsec/IKE policy
  • Design, implement, and manage a point-to-site VPN connection, including RADIUS/certificate/Azure AD authentication
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure ExpressRoute, including peering types, gateways, Global Reach, FastPath, and encryption

Lesson 2: Design and Implement Core Networking Infrastructure

  • Design and implement private IP addressing for virtual networks, including subnetting and delegation
  • Design and implement name resolution using public/private DNS zones
  • Design and implement cross-VNet connectivity, including peering and service chaining
  • Design and implement an Azure Virtual WAN architecture

Lesson 3: Design and Implement Routing

  • Design, implement, and manage virtual network routing, including user-defined routes and forced tunneling
  • Design and implement an Azure Load Balancer
  • Design and implement Azure Application Gateway
  • Implement Azure Front Door
  • Implement an Azure Traffic Manager profile
  • Design and implement an Azure Virtual Network NAT

Lesson 4: Secure and Monitor Networks

  • Design, implement, and manage an Azure Firewall deployment, including Firewall Manager policies
  • Implement and manage Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs)
  • Implement a Web Application Firewall (WAF) deployment
  • Monitor networks using Azure Monitor, Connection Monitor, Traffic Analytics, diagnostic logging, and Network Watcher

Lesson 5: Design and Implement Private Access to Azure Services

  • Design and implement Azure Private Link service and private endpoints
  • Design and implement service endpoints and service tags
  • Configure VNet integration for dedicated PaaS services (App Service, AKS)
